Warriors Reignite SLeague Title Race

Another year and the SLeague fails to disappoint. For so long it seemed the title was DPMM's for the taking under former Blackburn Rovers coach Steve Kean.

With Rodrigo Tosi (22 goals) and Roy O'Donovan (15) leading the way, DPMM have scored the most goals and conceded the least. Defeat Warriors last night in Brunei and they would have been six points clear of nearest challengers Tampines.

It didn't happen though. Despite falling behind to a goal from O'Donovan half way through the first half, Warriors showed their metal and two goals either side of half time by Nicholas Velez and Kevin McCann had the Warriors believing they still had a role to play in the title race.

Hafiz Rahim made it 3-1 and although the home team pulled one back in the final minute through Shah Razen Said they held on for a famous win that puts them well and truly back in the mix.

1 - DPMM 24 14 4 6 60-27 46
2 - Warriors 24 13 5 6 47-32 44
3 - Tampines 24 12 7 5 28-28 43
4 - Albirex N 24 12 5 7 49-37 41
5 - Home United 24 12 5 7 48-36 41
6 - Balestier Khalsa 24 11 6 7 44-29 39
