West Java Teams Battle For Final ISL Spot

This afternoon sees the curtain come down on the Indonesia Super League when two West Java teams, Persikabo and Pelita Bandung meet in the final play off.

Persikabo, who finished fourth in the recent play offs held at Manahan Stadium in Solo, won't be relishing another trip to Central Java to play their provincial neighbours; they lost 4-1 to Persebaya and 6-2 to Persik on their last trip there.

Ideally the game should be playd in West Java, and Jalak Harupat springs to mind, or even Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung, but with an international friendly tournament under way in Bandung, the Menpora Cup, I guess no one can handle more than one thing at a time.

Both teams boast experienced players. Pelita Bandung Raya have the likes of Mijo Dadic, Miljan Radovic, Nova Arianto and Gaston Castano in their ranks as well as one time Persib legend Eka Ramdhani and Leo Tupamahu.

Meanwhile Persikabo, who play in Cibinong and not Bogor, can call on the likes of Alejandro Tobar, Julio Lopez, Cristiano Lopes, Mosapha Aji and former international Aliyuddin.

It promises to be an exciting clash and while it will be seen on TV it is a shame there waon't be that many fans in the stadium.
