Persija End Season Behind Closed Doors

Persija will end the season as they have spent much of the season. Playing in front of an empty staium.

Their last two games in East Kalimantan coincide with local elections there and it seems for now no one is able to arrange security for football and politics at the same time.

The province is one of the wealthiest in the country, all that oil and gas, which makes elections there potential tinderboxes.

Then again how much trouble could they be expecting at the end of the season in what are pretty much meaningless games against a team that won't have much in the way of travelling support?!

The affected games are:

11/09 - Persisam v Persija
15/09 Mitra Kukar v Persija
