Jakmania on the road

Yesterday afternoon some 350 Persija fans gathered at Pasar Senen Station in Jakarta to catch a train east to Sidoarjo, hopefully arriving in plenty of time for this afternoon's Copa First Leg. In contrast around half a dozen flew to Makassar in the last round.

Along the way they were welcomed at Semarang by members of the PSIS supporters club while in Lamongan, home of Persela, the home teams fans, LA Mania, provided the visiting hordes with refreshment and washing facilities.

After their brief halt they make their way by truck and bus to Sidoarjo for the game.

It's a nice story but one that wouldn't normally see the light of day in a media that loves stereotypes and feeds off agency reports rather than actual reporting.
